How it works:

Each person (ages 5 and up) entering the Pick-Your-Own area purchases a container to fill with berries.

The containers come in 1 quart (4 cups and approx. 1.5lbs) and 2 quart (8 cups and approx. 3lbs) sizes.

The purchase of the container is your entry to the field.

If you need more berries than will fit in your basket you can purchase additional baskets.

Prices:

1-quart container:

$6.00

2-quart container:

$12.00

It doesn’t get any fresher…

Here at Blackberry Bog Farm we grow 5 different varieties of blueberries, and all of them are delicious!

Chandlers are large, sweet and very tasty… but if you are looking to make muffins or pancakes you will want a different variety.

Having an idea what you want to do with the berries will help you determine how many you should pick

Most blueberry jam recipes call for 6 cups (or approximately 2 pounds) of blueberries.

This creamy-edged blueberry pie needs 6 cups of blueberries.

When you get berries in the store they typically come in a pint (1/2 quart) or a quart.

Filling a freezer for a year filled with blueberries will require more picking.
